How it works

From a first email to a confirmed route

An email conversation, a realistic route, a written proposal with every price and provider named, and nothing booked until you say yes.

  1. Share the trip you have in mind

Use the form or email us: rough dates, places on your list, how many of you, whether anyone rides, and the pace you like. A few lines are enough to start.

  2. We reply with a first view of the route

We aim to reply within two working days. You get a realistic order of places, the transport for each leg with honest time ranges, anything that will not work as hoped, and questions about the details that change the plan.

  3. We check with local providers

For the services that need booking, such as a driver for Kong Lor or a car for the Bolaven Plateau, we ask the local provider for written availability and a price for your dates.

  4. You receive a written proposal

The route day by day, the total price and what it includes and excludes, the named provider for each service, the prepayment and any balance paid locally, the cancellation terms and contacts for each day.

  5. You decide

Ask questions, change things, or stop. Nothing is booked until you accept the proposal and pay the prepayment.

  6. We book and confirm

Once you accept and pay, we confirm each service with its provider and send you the confirmed plan with practical details and contacts.

  7. You travel

Each provider delivers its part. Their contact and ours are in your plan, so you know who to call for each leg.

Who does what

Laos Explore plans your route and handles your booking. The services in your trip are provided by local businesses and people: drivers, boat operators, guides, guesthouses and hotels. Your proposal names each of them. Read who does what for the detail, and the terms and cancellation policy before you book.

Questions travelers ask

Does it cost anything to ask?

No. Planning, questions and proposals are free and create no obligation.

Is anything booked when I send the form?

No. The form starts a conversation by email. Nothing is booked, and no money is taken, until you accept a written proposal and pay the prepayment.

Do you show live availability?

No. Availability depends on local providers, so we check it for your dates before sending a proposal, and confirm it again when you accept.

Can you plan only part of my trip?

Yes. A single transfer, a few days around Kong Lor or a southern loop are all fine.
