Cancellation policy

This policy explains how changes and cancellations work for trips booked through Laos Explore.
Before you book
Requests and proposals are free and create no obligation. You can stop at any time without charge.
If you cancel
- If you cancel your booking, we refund your prepayment.
- Where part of the price is a balance paid locally to a provider, nothing further is owed once a booking is cancelled before travel.
- To cancel, email hello@laosexplore.com with your booking reference.
Changes you ask for
We will try to accommodate changes, subject to providers’ availability. Any price difference is confirmed to you in writing before we make the change.
If a provider cannot deliver
If a provider cancels or cannot deliver a service, we will tell you as soon as possible and offer a suitable alternative or refund your prepayment for that service.
Weather, rivers and roads
Some services depend on conditions: boats through Kong Lor can be suspended when the river floods, and heavy rain can close or slow roads. When this happens we help you and the provider rearrange what is affected, and refunds follow this policy.
Refunds
Refunds are paid to the original payment method.
Insurance
Travel insurance with medical cover is strongly recommended, together with cover for international flights and other costs you pay separately.
